In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

4. Car Pick-Up and Drop-Off

You remain liable for any damage or loss up to the insurance excess amount unless further coverage is obtained. Damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violation of these Terms remains your responsibility, regardless of insurance.

6. Changes and Cancellations

Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows could incur additional charges.

Prohibited Activities

Prohibited Uses of Rental Vehicle

• The vehicle must not be used for any illegal activities, including racing, rallying, or off-road driving. Transporting hazardous materials is prohibited, as is sub-letting to third parties or allowing unauthorized drivers. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. Additionally, do not exceed the vehicle's passenger or weight limits, or operate the vehicle outside of the agreed geographical boundaries without prior approval.

Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.

8. Liability Limitations

To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Gosforth will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, that may arise from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will be capped at the rental amount you paid in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence or fraud.
